HEISPS team meeting at SUNP
HEISPS team had meeting with representatives of department for Economy doc. Dr Ernad Kahrovic. They were introduced with concepts of preparation of marketing strategy and development of the business plan based on CANVAS method. With concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation, start-up company, as a way of determining a business model Other concepts of business model validation, environment chart, business model chart as well as value chart will be introduced to team during development of marketing plan and business model.

Meeting on the implementation of the PoC TorqSens project held at the University of Kragujevac
At the University of Kragujevac, a meeting was held on the implementation of PoC project TorqSens within the scope of Act3.5, as well as on development of the strategy for the commercialization of sensor that was developed and validated within this PoC project (Act3.6). The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Vesna Mandic, project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Nenad Stanisic, expert for the feasibility study, two members of PoC TorqSens PoC project, Prof. Dr. Branko Koprivica Project Manager and Dr. Marko Rosic, member of the PoC team.

Visit to the University of Maribor
As part of the internal monitoring of the project (act6.3) and realization of the PoC project TorgSens (act3.5 and act3.6), representatives of the University of Kragujevac visited the University of Maribor on January 17 and 18, 2019. On that occasion, meetings were held with the members of the project team from Maribor related to the implemented project activities, applied quality control and procedures for technical and financial management. Also, aspects relating to the implementation of the PoC program, ie support to teams from Serbia in implementing projects in terms of consulting support, prototype validation, development of the commercialization strategy, etc., are also considered.


Visit to the Instituto Superor Tecnico in Lisbon
In the framework of realization of PoC projects and support to selected research teams from Serbia in raising TRL levels (act.3.5 and act3.6), a visit to the Instituto Superor Tecnico in Lisbon took place in the period from 15 to 18 July 2018. On that occasion, the members of the project teams of the following PoC projects:

  1. Robust low-cost fiber-optic 2D deflection sensor, University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences
  2. 3 PHASE voltage converter, University of Nis, Faculty of Electronic Engineering
  3. Device for ultrasound washing and disinfection of medical instruments and vessels, University of Nis, Faculty of Electronic Engineering


Visit to the University of Maribor within the implementation of PoC projects
In the framework of realization of PoC projects and support to selected research teams from Serbia in raising TRL levels (act.3.5 and act3.6), a visit to the University of Maribor took place in the period from 17 to 20 June 2018. On that occasion, the members of the project teams of the following PoC projects:

  1. Molecular sensor for malignancy screening, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade

  2. Torque Sensor based on Magnetomechanical Effect in Commercial Steel, University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Technical Sciences in Cacak



Presentation of selected PoC projects in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development
In the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, on 18th May 2018, a presentation of selected research projects within the PoC program was organized. 

The leading researchers of 10 selected research teams presented their PoC projects to the members of Evaluation Committee:

  • Prof. Dr. Vesna Mandic, University of Kragujevac
  • Prof. Dr. Goran Stojanovic, University of Novi Sad
  • Marina Vukobratovic Karan, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development
  • Mladjan Stojanovic, Serbian Innovation Fund
  • Jelena Jevtovic, University of Kragujevac.

The selected research teams will have am opportunity to present their PoC projects at the interview scheduled for the May 18, 2018.

Based on their PoC project presentations and the interview with leading researchers, the Evaluation Committee will reach the final decision on the type and scope of the support to be provided within the PoC Program.


D 3.5 Operational manual for Proof of Concept Programme
The Operational Manual for Proof-of-Concept Programme provides the set of recommendations and guidelines for researchers on how to validate their laboratory prototypes and make them more marketable.
This will lead to the raise of Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and to improve commercialisation potential of their research.
