The training on IPR protection and management was held on 8th June 2017 at  the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia as the last one training within the Work Package 4 and it was intended for participants from partners on the project, University of Belgrade and Metropolitan University. Participants from several faculties and institutes, were introduce to the system of intellectual property, the most common types of IPR and its importance in protection of innovations.

The focus of the training was on patent protection and the use of patent information for research and identifying the possible novelty of research results. Practical examples were demonstrated in Espacenet patent database.

Management of IP at universities, when it comes to protection of new results, has been introduced as a topic important for the process of technology transfer and building the reference through IP portfolio.  

At the end of the training, teaching staff from different HEIs were introduced to different teaching material which could be used within different subjects and scope
